Private Lessons

Berkner Orchestra private lesson staff is expanding!  The fastest way for students to grow on their instrument is one-on-one instruction.  Taking lessons is not a “tutoring” program, but an opportunity for students to have a personally tailored instructional experience to grow them to the next playing ability level.  It’s the best way to level up! 

High School & Junior High: Lessons outside of school can easily cost $60-$100+ an hour.  District approved private teachers provide lessons for the low rate of $22 per half hour.  Scholarship applications are also available through the BAOC through application.  If your student is interested in lessons or wants to try them out - Berkner directors want to make it happen.  We are open to discussing any questions or obstacles to make this happen for your student(s). 

Beginners: Per district policy - lessons may not be given on your students home campus or during the school day. Private lesson teachers, as they are available, may teach 6th Grade students after school hours at their studio or home with a parent/guardian present. They will discuss their expectations, lesson times, rates, and payment schedules with you independently when you make contact with them.
